Thouse show!
As some of you may or may not know, One of the most brutally depressing, slow, and heavy bands in the southern United States, or perhaps anywhere, Thou will be playing a house show with Blast Rag and Iskra (from Canada, apparently) on Monday, January 25th. Thou, from speaking with them, apparently aren’t particularly ecstatic about Lafayette or playing in it, so come catch them before they morph into gigantic cthulhu-like creatures and devour our souls for being simple citizens. Is that vegan? The show will be right across from Lafayette Middle School, at the intersection of University & Congress. As for parking, no clue. 6 PM!!! 1336 W. University.
…And afterwards, bring it on back downtown for Dollar Night at Sadie’s with your buddy and absolute favorite asshole dickface, Max Binet. I’ll be playing heavier shit such as Baroness, Torche, Mastodon, Every Time I Die, Coalesce, Orchid, Today Is The Day, along with more toned down, melodic music like Animal Collective, Pavement, Sonic Youth, Mew, Fleet Foxes, and random things such as Outkast, Skream, The Faint, Lightning Bolt, etc. $1 per drink as always. Beers, shots, mixed drinks, but you already knew that. I ain’t mad a’tcha.
*edit 1/21* Also going down that night will be Nighteater, The Reaching Hand, and Blake of Kid Midi at The Office.
