Honeypillow kicked off the night and showed everyone in the room just what amazing sounds like. Weird glances, sweet riffs, bomb-dropping drum loops and I think I heard The Battle Hymn of the Republic tossed around somewhere.
Once again, Smiley with a Knife (NOLA) came to Lafayette and laid down a solid set filled with new tracks such as “Bewilderbeast,” and “Cosmonauts Are Not So Cosby Nazi,” so be sure to look out for an upcoming album.
Last to play, Caddywhompus (NOLA) took the stage around 12:45 and caused a gravitational force pulling everyone to stand just feet away from the stage. So much music, so much energy, all constructed right before your eyes if you can keep your head still.
