awake from your state of one upping

opinions, opinions, opinions. everyone has them, some of us wear them on our sleeve. some peoples’ opinions are more biased than others, some peoples’ opinions are unfounded. and then some peoples’ opinions are established simply to make themselves feel better about the fact that all the people that they judge and speak down on are out doing things and breaking molds and pushing barriers and moving mountains that those ever so opinionated people couldn’t even begin to touch on. they hide behind their electronic wall of infinite vagueness and point fingers, and then they sit there behind their electronic walls of infinite vagueness for the rest of the evening, wishing they possessed the integrity, know-how, and initiative to make shit happen, as all the people they talk down upon possess.

arguments of what is punk and what is not, hypocrisy, mundane lives of counting all of the people you one up daily on your fingers and toes. i invite you people, the ones who are EVER so opinionated, to venture out, and lead by example, instead of locking yourself in your room with your sewn on patches, your fancy toys, your concept of how things should be. what kind of artful things have you done and do you do with your existence in order to feel justified in waving your flag in other peoples’ faces?

at times we are all guilty of judging others unjustifiably, but do you realize that you’re doing it and strive to lead by example, or do you continue to sit there with your cock in your hand, placing blame and telling it like you feel it should be?
